I am looking to go to greece we have been to Zante and Crete and would like to try another greek island but am stuck for ideas. I need a 2 Bedroomed room i dont mind an apartment or hotel, somewhere with plenty to do as we have 3 children aged 15, 8 and 5. We have been to Turkey for the last 2 years and the hotels are great out there and i cannot seem to find anywhere in greece, i am not bothered if the hotel is small aslong as there is plenty to do outside the complex.
Many thanks
Lisa
take a look at Kos town
How about Pefki Islands , Pefkos, Rhodes
Also: Santorini, Skiathos, Skopelos, Kefalonia, Kos...
Kafelonia gorgeous
Wherever you pick in Greece, if you're after children's entertainment I think your best bet is AI. I find many of the Greek resorts don't cater fantastically for children. That's my opinin only. I'm sure others will pinpoint certain resorts that do.
im going to santorini in june hope its ok staying in kamari
I have to agree, hubby and I found Santorini quiet. Lovely, but quiet. Kos town is lovely with plenty to do.
iallen, as stated above, we (2 couples in our 40's and one 20's) had a lovely holiday in Kamari. It was more laid back than we expected but the scenery/people/food made up for the lack of evening entertainment. We hired quad bikes and went all over the island. We thoroughly enjoyed our stop in Oia and took some photographs of the magnificent views. Can I advise you to take shoes for the beach as the Black sand is unbearably hot to walk on.
I agree with Wizard - take a look at Kos town.
Santorini and most of the islands of Cyclades, are not the best destinations if you have children. I believe that Rhodes, Crete and Corfu are the best islands for family vacation. Also the Evia island or maybe the less known islands of the north like Thassos and even Halkidiki (mainland) are recommended for families.
were staying in santellini hotel and cant wait
Can't say I've heard of that hotel, but in my opinion Kamari is one of the best resorts on the island. I would have prefered Oia but unfortunately, our budget wouldn't run to a fortnight's stay there. There were regular buses running from the centre of Kamari into Thira where the main bus depot was. From there you could get a bus to anywhere. Have a great holiday.
Thanks for that we stayed in skiathos last year the town was fab, but i wasnt fussed on the rest
I love Skiathos so would sway towards that island more, plenty of beaches, lovely town and harbour, can visit other islands, hire a car and explore.

Where did you stay when you went to Crete?
I have found there is plenty to do in western Crete, Almyrida, Chania area, There's bowling, watersports, cycle hire and waterpark all in the area, Almiryda has plenty shops, taverna's and bars, without being too rowdy,
check out the area on the internet!
