looking for somewhere to go for my daughter to take her partner away for his 21st birthday she will have recently have had a baby (due 4 weeks before)n so nothing too strenuous just a relaxing break we live in leeds so not too far away as well , it is in may during the school holiday break so thinking maybe the mon -fri 25-29th (his birthday being the 27th) any idea much appreciated
thanks
As sleep patterns will be all over the place, and they will, to a great extent, be goverened by the baby, I would recommend a cosy little cottage, far enough away from other cottages that they do not feel they risk upsetting anyone each time baby tests his/her lungs! They can all feed, sleep, and come and go as they please, rather than having to work round the routine of a hotel. Plus of course, all the baby paraphenalia can be spread out as they will only have themselves to think about.
My advice would be to decide how far they want to travel and then Google for self catering within that area. (if you do this under 'maps' sometimes you get a guest-written review too). In any event check out any possibles you find on Trip Advisor, here, Good luck!
What about Center Parcs at Whinfell Forest? Friends of mine live in Guiseley and they are about 2 hours drive from Whinfell.
Have a look at Ribby Hall Village between Preston and Blackpool. We went a few years back with our then 1 year old - home from home. not too far from Leeds
I'd recomend lake district - loads of cosy cottages around if you look on the internet - after the trials and tribulations of a new baby, the peace and solitude would be ideal....
My son was 10 days old when he first went on the log flume at Alton Towers, but we went as a large family unit (20 years ago!) so it is probably not so good on your own.
