Hi
We are going to Benidorm for a short break on 2nd November. We are staying at the Benikakus hotel (anyone been?)
What is happening in Benni then, by that I mean is all the bars still open and restaurants etc? we like live music, especially Irish bars.
Also what weather should we expect at that time of year?
Any advice appreciated..
Also where would you recommend for an anniversary meal?
Cheers Liz.
I think the Benikaktus is in Albir. Just a short bus ride to Benidorm.
I do not think this hotel is Albir, I am fairly sure its in an elevated area of the Rincon De Loix area of Benidorm new town.

It is, it's right on the end of Levante beach, next/near to the hotel Lido on Calle Hamburgo.
In fact you walk passed this hotel on the route to the cross...or the route I go, which is up the steps on the end of Levante promenade and turn right.

If you like live Irish music then I would recommend that you go see a guy called Brendan who playes nightly at the Bodhrán bar which is about 20 metres from Levante beach on Calle Dr Orts Llorca, which runs away from the beach - between it and the Av. Mediterraneo.
For a nice meal, I would suggest the Hoff Van Holland which is in a nice courtyard setting, it's just off the top of the walking street in the old town or you could get there by following these directions which were written in an earlier post.
If you were coming into the Old Town from the Parque De L'Aiguera side, you would pass the Hotel Bristol Park which is on Calle Doctor Fleming. Just before you enter the pedestrianised part of the town (Paseo De La Carretera) there is a street to your right called Avenida De Rufaza. If you turn into that street and walk a few yards uphill, you should come to a little courtyard/square on the right hand side which is filled with small bars and restaurants. I am pretty sure that Hof Van Holland is one of them.

I apologise.
Go have another glass of wine Pebbles
OK Sanji, Wine will sort everything out.
I'm also going to Benidorm on the 2nd November until the 9th, we're stopping at the Paraiso 10 apartments, everything is open as normal nad its the start of the fiesta whilst we are there.
The hotel is at the end of Levante beach Rincon area. I'm only going for a short break, but any more recomendations will save wasted eve's.
Cheers
Benikaktus is overlooking the Levante Beach where the ski jump is.My Auntie stayed in it last year but didn't rate the food at all, that was the downside. The Hotel was clean and the views great but it is up an incline. The Owner is reluctant to change the food menu.My Auntie even asked one of the waiters why the food was so poor.If you like mash potatoes all the time thats o.k.!
I am not too bothered about the food, I will eat breakfast there but eat out for eve meal anyway.
Like the fact its overlloking the beach and for 3 nights it will do me.
Liz.
