Thanks Squigs,If it was not for you i would have missed it,totally forgot it was wednesday.
just starting
Really lovely programme , tonight's episode made me weep over those lovely kids in Calcutta, they are just so lovely and they have nothing. Don't suppose anybody knows the song they were dancing to, something like ' Chatterjee'
Aww Shirley they bought a tear to my eye to. They are so happy with whatever they are dealt aren't they - bless them x
chilly
realy enjoying paul merton seen another side to him
Rock City and the cool dude Indians in leather jackets and heavy"ish" rock music...didnt quite look right!
The children of the prostitutes brought a tear to my eye! What a life for a child. I know, I know, there are thousands like the ones we saw last night but it is driven home when you see it on the telly. I just wish I could change the world.
x lassi
Damn, I missed it as I had to work ..I will have to watch Mondays repeat now as it sounds too good to miss a second time.
Just watched all 3 episodes (online) back to back to catch up, excellent I thoroughly enjoyed them.
well the last eposode has been aired, im glad i taped it and can watch it again, i will be watching it in the 49 days up to my hols.. all in all i thought it was a good programme, gave some of us an insiteto places in india that we might never get to see,
website.http://www.ciniuk.org/projectreports.htm
One of the projects is working with children in the red light district. We visited their centre for mother and child development a couple of years ago and can testify that no money raised goes to waste.
We learnt of the charity through Mark Tulley the ex BBC correspondent who I belive has donated towards the cause.
I know lots of you donate to Children walking tall etc but if you have any spare cash Cini is a very worthy charity
I especially liked the laughing exercises being carried out on the beach, and the claim by the one guy that his hair had grown thicker because of it!
I thought that charity looked really worthwhile Thirdstage, thanks for web address will take a look.... it was certainly heart wrenching what a great and worthwhile job they do..
chilly
Chilly, when you get a good web connection why not watch the last episode on line?, that's what I did with the entire series
It's repeated on C5 on Monday at 10pm
chilly
That's a shame Chilly, it was good I think that India slowly got under Paul's skin like the rest of us. It would be interesting to hear his thoughts now after his travels are over. Perhaps the Mods could invite him to a live chat in our chat rooms?!
that would be nice miccie.... is it possiable at all mods?
