Hello you lovely people, i have another question
I have found a couple of good deals through thomascook, the somy resort in calangute, and Lui beach in Candolim.
Am i right in thinking if you book the somy with thomascook then once you arrive you can pay an extra 50pounds to have an a/c room? If i am right about this then are the a/c rooms better than the standard rooms with regards to the room having a seperate lounge area for the 3rd bed?
Also, i have heard the Lui beach in candolim is good, but what is space like in this hotel?
Many thanks
Nicola
We stayed at the Somy in March this year, travelling with Thomas Cook. We had no option about paying for the a/c, we HAD to pay £50 otherwise they wouldn't let us check in. There was no option not to have a/c. These weren't in the rooms with a separate lounge either. We could have upgraded to one of these, if they had one available, for 1000 rupees per night. The rooms were fine for our needs. Breakfast was one of the better ones though, quite a pleasant breakfast area with quite good choices.
HI yummymummy
Neil - on the thomascook website i was quoted £482 per person departing on Mon 26th Jan, for 2 weeks.
This wasnt including coach transfer as they wanted 20pounds per person for this .

It seems at the moment to get a direct flight to Goa without stopping at mumbai costs just a few pounds less than a package holiday to a 2star hotel in north Goa, so i think it makes more sense to get the package holiday
This will be my 7th time, i first went when i was a teenager in the early 90's. It will be my sons 4th time, and he is only 5. First took him when he was 7 months old, and i must admit he was better behaved at 7months old
He slept all the way through the flight, but now he mivers the passengers sitting next to us, asks them if they want to play cards with him
GOODLUCK
Thanks
