hi, i always go out mid february, weather is usually quite pleasant mid 60's but cool at night, you will get the odd cloudy/ rainy day.
quite a few of the portuguese restaurants will be open but not too many touristy ones but that is not a bad thing. can't speak too much about vilamoura as it it not my favourite haunt, but february is the month of carnival and many places will have exiting parades etc particularly Loulle which has a brazilian type carnival parade with scantilly clad ladies :tongue although i have never been allowed to go by her who must be obeyed :yikes
hope this helps, i nam sure some one else who knows vilamoura will give an extra insight into that area.

Hi Nosivad thanks for your help we were over there late oct 07 (over Halloween) and the weather was great, literally not a cloud all week and the place was quiet which was good. It was our 1st visit and we had a great week just me and my wife.We found it a bit on the pricey side but with all those huge yachts in the marina they can afford to charge more i guess!

Anyway ill certainly give it a thought. Thanks again.

hi again, you will find it pricey if you go to the tourist establishments :yikes just go out of the way a little and look where the locals eat , you will be pleasantly surprised by not only the price but also the quality :tup
