Hi Chris
Thanks for that . Hubby and I went to Rome last year for a weekend and we are taking the boys back for a few days over christmas as they were really annoyed we didnt take them last time .I had read somewhere that August is very quiet . They love all that roman history.
hopefully it wouldnt be as hot kedi but it felt pretty warm at the end of october when your on your feet sighseeing all day .
Top of my list would be sardinia or sorrento with some sight seeing around Pompei Etc. Im determined to do one or both at some point within the next couple of years and give turkey a miss for a change.
Lyn
For those who like Turkish people, food and efes beer, and want a change of scenery, then give a thought to a holiday in North Cyprus. We have had two spring holidays in Kyrenia and September holidays in Turkey. car hire is cheap and you drive on the left so getting about is no problem. Hotels are of a very good standard, enery is superb.
Lyn, I would love to go to Pompeii again, when our girls are a bit bigger though as it would be too much for them now. I went when I was a child and loved it, we stayed in Sorrento then. I would love to see Rome too.
