I have been keeping an eye out for Baltic deals next year and for us NCL Jewel is the likely option.
These are 12n round trip dover
28 April is showing as a special with some agents and TXT(cheaper than both NCL sites by a long way)
inside £599
G obs OV £799.
Our last trip up this way was 5 May a couple of years back and weather was ok-good.
That was a 14n on the Constellation and IIRC £899 inside.
I think we are going to see lower prices and NCL have started first to try and capture market share.

Also Gill's cruises are offering a Junior Mini-Suite on the same sailing at £1099
Could be interesting once we get into Jan/Feb to see if the Ventura cruise prices come down to similar lows! We sailed on Ventura on Med in October and, whilst we have sailed on better lines, this is phenomenal value for the Caribbean and the itinery is excellent.

Solo travellers. For example, I have just booked on the Fantasia for 27th January for an 11 night cruise from Genoa to the Canaries. My options were £599 Cat1-3 inside, £649 Outside (restricted view) or £749 for a balcony cabin. I have decided to spoil myself and have booked a balcony cabin. My total cost is £799 which includes a £50 regional flight supplement from Edinburgh. These prices are exactly the same for 2 people sharing a cabin so this is truly NO single supplement at all. These offers are also available on Poesia (launched last April, Fantasia being launched on 7t December I believe)
They are also offering 'Buy one Second pays £1' (brochure price). This offer is only available on bookings made between now and 7th December. I got these notifications from Ember Travel (020 8337 8053 ) info@embertravel.co.uk
For anyone who is interested, MSC are doing some incredible deals and yes, quite a lot are for They are also offering 'Buy one Second pays £1' (brochure price). Another winter special in the med
The NCL suites look exciting Windjammer, but I didn't even go as far as checking the prices!!!! Too rich for me I think! The pictures of the accommodation are amazing and it looks like you get the service to match. Oh well, I can but dream on!
Unbelievable Offers
We knew that they were coming but now that The CruiseKings sees these offers in the flesh can we truly believe that they are real. But even seeing them now on the screen, the prices really do look unbelievable.
Especially those transatlantic prices and the incredible single supplement of just 25%.
And if you are Cunard World Club member (past passenger) you will receive a further discount.

For Dover, Southampton and Harwich there are a few within the 2hr drive to still board early.
Basically we want 2 weeks, leaving around 2nd April from the UK. It will be 2 adults and 2 children aged 13 and 11. So far I've looked at Princess cruises who have the dates and the duration, with a restricted view cabin at around the £6000 mark. This is probably our maximum budget, since we will want to do a lot of excursions, which will be on top of that, so really it's a question of the best deal we can get for the money. I know we would do better outside of school holidays, but unfortunately it will be sats year for the youngest and options year for the eldest so not a good time for them to be missing school.
We were considering 2009 for a cruise, but have decided since 2010 is the year of our 20th wedding anniversary, to wait and do something special.
Thanks in advance for any inspiration
Pam
http://www.iglucruise.com Haven't heard them mentioned much on here, but they seemed very efficient to speak to.
I was shopping around for a cruise last week and the best price by far was from Less likely to hit the the US kids/teens spring break mob.
I would do a serious price watch for the 2009 dates, to see what offers come in and when this will give you an idea of what might happen in 2010, research is the key and you have plenty of time over the next 3 months to get a feel for the easter caribbean market.
A lot of the trips will be B2B shorter cruises so will return to the US part way through.
Also look at flight/cruise DIY the Cruise prices through the US won't have the same school hols factor allthough flights may be an issue.
here is a cruise example for this year
http://www.ncl.com/nclweb/booking/cruisedetails.html?packageId=1262224
4berth G obstructed view, cruise only, £3700 that leaves £2300 for flight and a hotel.
Just checked that some USA states do have spring break around easter.

Have a read of reviews particulary around these times.
Really good tips windjammer thanks, I think I will watch the 2009 cruises, that's a good idea. I know our budget isn't huge in cruising terms, but it's still a lot of money and I just want to be absolutely sure and not rush into anything. I've always booked our holidays well ahead, but after my husband having been made redundant twice in 14 months, I'm much more cautious. Hopefully we've turned a corner now and his job is as secure as any (he's a surveyor in house building!!) but if I'm going to commit to that sort of expenditure, I've got to be 100% sure it's right in every way.
Thanks again
Pam
