3 hrs e. midlands also, where u goin from?

3hrs @ Manchester as well. I think thats the 'industry standard' in the UK for non-domestic flights.

You have to check in at least 3 hours before, when we have not booked seats together we have got there earlier than 3 hours before and check in has been open

We've checked in at Gatwick with FIrst Choice at 8:00am for an afternoon flight . Like to chill out for the day and make the most of some of the shops there without rushing around, gets us into lazy mode. It is also a fair drive for us and we need to set off early not knowing what we will meet on the journey.
