I'm not sure if there are any restrictions on sending alcohol but I would be more worried about it breaking on the way over. You also have to be a bit careful because sometimes parcels get opened and things taken over there, if someone guesses it is a bttle of alcohol it may not get to its destination :yikes .

We have sent all kinds of things to Turkey though and everything has arrived safely.

The best thing to do is ask at the post office, they can tell you if it is allowed and the best way to package it. If you can't send bottles why not send something else that is easier to package up and doesn't weigh so much, bottles will cost a lot to send anyway.

Hi Sheena.Don't do it as it will not get passed Customs at the Post Office. My wife ordered a crate of Red Wine and we got the card to go to the Post Office.Upon arrival she was read the riot act re bringing booze into Turkey and it was all sent back.So it's a no no.They do open all parcels from Europe the guy told her. This happened in Antalya were we live but I guess other areas will be just as strict.

I thought there would be some restriction. I'm sure you can send something else that would be appreciated instead though.
