Hi Nemo,We booked the Club Turban from Thomsons teletext pages.It is in their Beach Club brochure.If you type Club Turban into Google and click on to the links you will see loads of photos and information.
The Marmaris Palace is the hotel with an Ice rink about 10 minutes walk along the coast path.It owned by the same company as the Turban but is older and more popular with young East European guests.The Turban is only 2 years old and is a much nicer hotel.We could have used the Marmaris palace when we were there but liked the Turban so much we didnt bother.

how to avoid the yobs?, the last couple of years we have started going on al holidays, our first was in mexico and i was pregnant at the time so obivously couldnt drink, but never notice anyone majorly taking the mick out of "all you can drink" apart from one guy from the states who was very loud with his drinking.
last years holiday on the other hand was very different, we decided to go back to cyprus, (a country i love) but we tried a new hotel that was apparently 5 star al (i beg to differ), our first week there was great everyone was so friendly from all age groups, then by the wednesday of the second week, two new family arrived and boy ive never felt so uncomfatable. Family A from the south which consisted of 6 adults and two todderlers were very loud and drunk, on several occasion they would take the childrens toys (that other people had brought) from the baby pool and try to use them in the bigger pool, they would swear and talk at the top of they voices.
Family B from the north which consisted of about 8 adults and i dont know how many children (dont even think they could remember) were out of this world, they were drunk nearly all the time roudy, loud and rude, made me feel very uncomfatable and would talk about people as they walked passed. the main incident was when they daughter of no more then 2 fell in the water (deep end) the parents decided to argue who was going in to retrieve her from the bottom of the pool!, by this time another man had jumped in to get her and the parents didnt even thank him, just gave him a dirty look!

( sorry if gone of track) Basically wanted to say i dont think you can ever be 100% safe to get away from the yobs even paying through the nose for a holiday, because we did for the last. This year we have booked to do 5* al in turkey so im hoping this is a better pick.

so fingers crossed we all have a peace full holiday lol
