Hmm, theres a list on holiday hints and tips were it gives you the option to print out what things you need to pack.

how about the usual clothes, flipflops, underwear, swimwear, evening wear ( but i suppose you will already have packed them)

Hair dryer, suncream, aftersun, hair bobbles, a couple of towels to see you through the first day ( dont fancy shopping as soon as we get there) , soap, shampoo, deordorant (to see you through a couple of days) then you can always buy more whilst your there. waxing strips( if you use them) , hair brush, mosquito spray.

Im sure there are more things, but these are just things from the top of my head.

Also, pack tour travellers cheques, passports, tickets in your hand luggage.

HT has a holiday checklist here. It's actually amazing how little you really need with you on holiday. OH and I went to Goa with one carry-on bag- mind you we did plan on taking 2 cases as well, just BA didn't realise that :rofl

Although you can buy lots of toiletries when you arrive, I always take suncream with me as I like a certain brand.
Likewise with showergel, OH has sensitive skin and I don't want to be running round trying to find something that is OK for him.

Don't take loads of shoes/sandals - you won't wear them all and the red dust will ruin anything that you can't scrub.

Fiona, that checklist is very good :)
Im sure if you managed to cope with a carry on bag, then it just goes to show we dont need to take much stuff :rofl

Prettypollycat - i agree with all your post, we buy suncream before we go as my son needs a very high factor suncream. I also take sensitive shower gel, but sometimes we do run out and have to buy some more in Goa.

Regarding shoes, i buy a few cheap pairs of shoes and flipflops from Primark, and leave my best shoes at home.

Hi adele v , something very simple but a must for us, ice cube bags. Just fill them up and stick them in the freezer compartment, absolutely essential for a cold drink before you go out , or return in the evening.

Simple ,cheap things are always the best- have a good holiday. :cheers :cheers

Good idea about the ice cube bags, we always take our own ice-cube tray wherever we go, some of the ones already in the fridge can be a bit manky. :tongue
Bags are a much better idea though.

I never take full length trousers, again the red dust makes a mess of them, and I also avoid white clothes generally - red dust, curry and white linen trousers don't seem to work for me. :que

If you get red dust on anything white get a small bottle of Rin its a mild bleach and soak in
the buckets they usually have in the shower rooms. Newton,s sell it ,get mine from Sue corner
