Hi Jozzyd

I am glad I booked but On The Beach are turning out to a be a real headache, booked with them for Benidorm and they were fine. But this time as I said they put holiday up by £40 the day after. They also didnt give us an option to upgrade to 20kg, and despite admitting it was there mistake I wasnt offered the upgrade I still ahev to pay a
£25 per person admin fee.

Wont be booking with them again.

Have never used them Steve we have used hotels 4 u. We only paid minimal fee for Kurt last year, Kurt themselves wanted to charge us £600 plus this year but Hotels4u £244 and that's for 3 weeks. Hope you get it sorted £25 quid is a good meal and drinks ;)

I used Hotels4u last year. Even booking with onthebeach the accom is through hotels4u. I just choose On The Beach because they seemed cheap at them time, and were offering £40 deposit each. Wish I had paid the extra deposit and went with travel republic now. Def wont be useing them again.

The Kurt familly tried to get us to book direct with them for this year, but when I saw what they were asking for I thought I could go there 6 times for that. I do like staying there though, I know they get bad press sometimes but it doesnt bother me, don;t think you can fault them for cleanliness and price. But I can see what you mean about being abit far out for the little ones. We enjoy the walk but can imagine the little ones wouldnt in the heat.

I used a company called http://www.freedomdirect.co.uk to book my holiday and like on the beach their prices are excellent. I am only paying £46 in total for 2 weeks self catering in the same apartments I stayed in last year. To book direct witht he aprtment was going to cost £75 per week. My flights are with Onur air and the accomodation is booked throught Hotels 4U who seem to be very well priced.
There are some bargains out there just a case of looking hard to find them

I used freedom direct last year, they were good. But they werent as cheap as other sites for the dates I wanted. But wish I had paid slightly more as by the time On The Beach stop trying to extort more and more out of me this holiday will probably be one of the most expensive I have had in a long time. I pride myself on always getting pretty good deals, but not this time.

I have also booked the Kurt apartments for Sept for 2 weeks, got my flights for £136 each, booked them the day Aegean went on sale,so its costing us under £250 each.Havnt been there before, but they look nice, not at all worried about the reviews about the owners,a lot of family owned are like that,I also like the walk to the centre, passing different restaurants etc,we are also going in June to Marmaris staying at our usual apartments, sounds just like the Kurts, cant wait.

I really like Kurt Apartments. Nice Pool Area, Apartments cleaned every day.

They do want you to eat in there but just say no thanks, and they are OK. I wouldnt let it spoil my holiday like some people make out. The food is actually quite nice.

We always stay at Club Likya Apts in Marmaris(goimg there in June) and they are always trying to get us to eat there, but we stop and have a chat, and just love to eat in different restaurants each night, but who knows, this year with the credit crunch also affecting us it maybe a takeaway from Sandras Chippy around the corner a few evenings.A lot of people moan about the owners always asking you to eat there, having to pay for extra toilet rolls, and air con being expensive, not being able to take your own food and drinks around the pool, you cant blame them!!tour operators only pay them about £3 a night for an apartment!!Oh, I always take extra toilet rolls with me,a small fan in my case, and slip a few cold drinks in my bag and discreetly drink it around the pool!!.

I know what you mean Crispy. I always think for the price you pay they are going to want to try and make their money up therefore they will try and get you to eat there, and buy drinks. Which we do, we usually have lunch in there. And a drink or 2 when we get in at night.
