We took a tram ride and a dolmus for a look at the Lara beach area last year, it's not at all what I expected, quite quiet and not an awful lot to do. Definitely not like Marmaris and when we were there in September it was really quiet, dead would be a better description. Antalya is a large, busy city, of course there are markets but it is a world apart from Marmaris!

Lara Beach is a purpose built tourist resort, lovley beach, lots of hotels but that's about it. Nothing like Marmaris, complete opposite in fact!

There are a couple of smallish shopping malls but nothing like Marmaris. You would have to try Antalya City
