Stephen, me and my wife stayed last September and the keys for out of hours are picked up at a hotel by Tommy's bar (can't remember the name :whoops ). They refused for us to pay in sterling (even though the contract said we could) for the deposit so we used a credit card and the apartments put it back on 5 days before we left but even trying to pay by credit card at first was refused.
The staff in the apartments are superb and really friendly, it's just where the keys are picked up from as they are making no money from you they ain't that bothered.

The apartments are spotless and I couldn't fault them at all.

Where did you have to pick the key up from? We should be there about 12.30 in the afternoon, so I'm hoping the reception will be open. Also how did you persuade them to have the deposit on the credit card?

Thanks

Stephen

Stephen,

It was Alpha apartments on Calle Kennedy where the keys were picked up from. It was a guy from there who refused sterling ( his actual words were your in spain, you can't use sterling in a sarcastic way) and then initially a credit card saying the machine was down. When I told him I had no euros and would have to see the reception at San Diego the next day he backed down and the machine was found and rectified in quick time!. We booked them through Nevogar and their office was closed when we arrived. The apartments are great you will have a superb time.
