After spending the last 2 years holidays in Kalamaki Zante I've just managed to get what I hope is a great deal for Cyprus. Booked up for the Tasmaria apartments in Paphos, deal was to good to pass up with all the Thomas Cook discounts included (£1280 for 1 bed apartment for 2 adults and one child) , bizzarely Cyprus was one of the cheapest holidays. We've been to Cyprus 5 times and are looking forward to coming back, but we have never really been out the tomb of the kings road so was wondering if anyone can give us some info on the apartments we are going to and also the surrounding area, ie : places around the the apartments to eat and drink and how long to walk down to the harbour? Also does anyone know if the Windmill restaurant is still in Paphos? It was just at the end of bar street and was one of our favourites.
It's been 3 years since a KEO so I'm really looking forward to one now.
Cheers,
Barry, Gemma & Niven
the Tasmaria is near the junction of Pyramou and Tomb of the kings road about 400 mt from the archaeological site at the tombs about 2 km from bar street 1.5 km from Kato Pafos
We're sure you'll enjoy going back to Cyprus, we have now been going for 15years and love the place. As you are still on the Tomb of the Kings rd it is still quite a walk down to the harbour, especially in the heat of the day ( when do you go? ) The buses run very regularly so it wouldn't be a problem and they run quite late also. We go to bar street most nights and have to say that we haven't noticed a Windmill restaurant so it may still be there or not. There is a great restaurant called the Mandra which is next to a good little cocktail bar called The Flintstones, their drinks are so gooood! These are just off bar street on Dionysou st. the Robin Hood pub is on the corner, Hope you have a good time, all the best. Amber and Karl
Thanks Amber & Karl, We go on the 23rd August. The Windmill was opposite a bar called Zorro's, just to the left of the fountain. Yes I thought it would be a bit of a walk during the day but to be honest We'l be spending most of the day relaxing at the pool and having a nice walk in at night. Glad to hear the Robin Hood is still there, many happy memories of the Robin & Marion shared cocktail.
We come home on the 19th Aug. so we just miss you. Hope you have a great time and we bet you are back soon, Amber and Karl
The Windmill is still there just up from Zorro's, and still one of the best value for money places in Paphos.
There have been a few changes in the last five years which you will quickly notice.
Enjoy your Keo 'Nectar'
Have a GREAT one

It will be good to come back to Cyprus, hearing a lot of stories about inflated prices for food and drink but hopefully thats not the case as we eat local food and drink local beer & wine.
Just had a look at the map on your website and a lot of the places we used to go to for a nice meal or relaxing drink seem to still be there.
Just hope the apartments we have booked are ok, they seem to get really good reviews on all the forums.
Regards,
Barry, Gemma & Niven
