Hi, we are a young family going to Goa in 4 days (really excited as it will be my 7th time).
I have a few quick questions if you don't mind answering them for me.
It states on our tickets that we do not have any inflight meals. It is with thomascook, but last year we didnt have the inflight meals on our tickets, but we still received them .
We are banking on receiving them again this time, but if not it will be ok because we will fill up on something like burgerking before we board the plane.
Obviously we cannot go without food for he whole flight (9-10 hours) , so i will pack lots of pringles in our hand luggage, sweets etc.
Now, the question is if i prepare a few sandwiches before i go, cheese salad maybe? would i be allowed to take these on board the plane?
I know i could possibly get these from Boots in the terminal, but i prefer homemade sandwiches, the bread seems to be quite dry buying them from shops.
thanks
Nicola
It's probably best to look at the airport's website, to see exactly what the policy is.
I have already had a look at manchester airports website, and havent found anything.
I know at Cardiff & Bristol you can only take sandwiches & drinks that have been bought after security.
Well i thought you couldnt take liquids over 100mls, but i wasnt aware of not being able to take food?
I think you're ok to take sandwiches and other food that's ready to eat. Just don't eat it whilst you're driving to the airport :-)
I'm 99% certain you can take sandwiches!
x lassi
We often fly with Easyjet & I always take our ham, cheese & tomato rolls with us, I just carry them in my hand luggage. Nothing has ever been said.
Deb.
Its not me being mrs scruge, but im not keen on boots sandwiches. They dont put enough mayo on ( and id much prefer salad cream).
We set off for the airport at 8am, so i dont think i'd be tempted to eat them on the way.I think you're ok to take sandwiches and other food that's ready to eat. Just don't eat it whilst you're driving to the airport :-)

I don't think you're Mrs Scrooge at all. Homemade ones are usually better. I was referring to that poor woman who got fined for eating a sandwich whilst driving Have a lovely holiday. We went to Goa a for a few days a couple of years ago, after a very intense sightseeing tour. I'd love to go back, for longer.
i had cobs in my bag at christmas because my son hadnt eaten so i thought they would come in handy for him if he was hungry.in the end he didnt eat them i had forgotton all about them and found them in my bag when we got to lanzarote, yum made a nice snack i would just risk it if they take them off you they do if not enjoy.have a great holiday you lucky thing you
