Hi Everyone,
I'm thinking of booking our first cruise, in the caribbean and have been offered what seems like a good deal on Royal Caribbean's Freedom of the Seas in late Sept early Oct (we can only go fter Aug). I know that this is in the hurracaine season, however this spans from June - Dec. We are also looking to tye this in with a few days in Orlando, as we will be taking our teanage Son & older Daughter.
I was wondering if anyone has cruised at this time of year and what are your views and opinions, all info would be most helpful and appreciated.
Thanks
Regards
Ezzigo
The best thing about a cruise is you will be taken well out of the way of bad storms in the region..
We also sailed on Freedom of the Seas but we went on her in June- we have taken numerous cruises in the official Hurricane Season. If you are taking your teens at this time bear in mind that most teens will be in school so it might not be too lively, although I had an 18yr old with me on the Oct cruise and he managed to have a great time, just not as busy as his usual summer holiday..
Are you taking the East or Western route?
Thanks for the reply and glad you enjoyed your cruises, we are thinking of the Western Cruise from Port Canaveral as this is closer to Orlando. Our son will be sixteen when we travel and our daughter will be 21 and I'm sure both would enjoy the activities on board this cruise ship.
Thanks Again
Ezzigo
If you've never been to the Caribbean before you have a lot to look forward to, the beaches are fantastic and the sea is a deep turquoise, it is lovely.
