Sorry haven't been in June- we went in September.
They always forcast rain in Mexico, and it does rain a fair bit - but only for a few minutes at a time - 10 mins later, you wouldn't know it had rained! So much so nobody gets out of the pool or off the sunbed.!

Michelle, We stayed at the Royal Playa del Carmen - WOW what a hotel!! - everything about it was brilliant. Fantastic rooms, in room jaccuzzi, optic bars and mini bar, 24hr room service serving ANYTHING you want, turndown every night, even a 'pillow menu'. Adults only and no need to make reservations in any of the A la Carte restaurants, right on the beach with butler service around the pool or on the beach. It's right in Playa itself, yards from the famous 5th Ave. You can also trade nights at their sister hotel in Cancun free of charge and so have a twin centre holiday. We are going back 4th September this year - can't wait!!!
