Flight Only / Airline and Airports

Discussions relating to flight only, airlines and airports.
arwel29,

Please post questions specific to Thomsonfly (Thomson Airways) on the dedicated thread as it allows others to locate information easier. Those are the only ones I have of the premium cabin. There's not much else to see!!

Tracy11,

Your Flights Will Be Operated By A Boeing 767-300.

These Are Configured 2-3-2 with A 33" Seat Pitch.

Thomson Airways Do Not Publish Seating Plans

There Is More On This Aircraft On Our Dedicated Thomsonfly (Thomson Airways) Thread

Your flight will actually be operated by Thomsonfly although you'll notice the paperwork is Thomson Airways and the aircraft in the First Choice livery! Confused? You aren't the only one! Thomson(fly) and First Choice have now merged. All flights are now operated under Thomsonfly's air operators certificate. From 1st May 2009, all flights will be operated by the new merged airline, Thomson Airways. Your flight is operated by an ex-First Choice aircraft. Refer to our dedicated Thomsonfly (Thomson Airways) thread as GowerL7 mentions for detailed aircraft information.

Thanks Darren for your reply! I did try to book actual seats on the aircraft and thomson airways said i could but they checked and realised it would be a First choice aircraft and they don't allow you to allocate seats!

My main enquiry was seat formation and happy that its 2-3-2 as 5 of us traveling so works well...Thanks for your help

LGW-CCC-LGW (TOM089/90) are operated by an ex-First Choice Boeing 767-300/ER. Have a look at our dedicated Thomsonfly (Thomson Airways) thread for more details. Premium economy is very nice if you want the extra room and the perks that go along with it. Personally, I'd rather save the money and put it towards a nicer hotel and get the benefit of 7/14 days or activities in resort. The premium upgrade is excellent, but economy is spacious and comfortable enough as it is. Unless there's been a cancellation, I'd be surprised if there are any premium seats available this close to the flight. You'll find my trip reports on page 47 of the First Choice thread with lots of photos and specific aircraft details along with IFE listings and even the menu on the last couple of pages posted by BY-TOM-AMM-FCA.

I have just booked flights to turkey which is flight BD8903.

Is this BMI ir BMI baby? Is the legroom ok?

jules0581dancing,

BD8903 is a Bmi flight, not Bmi Baby. You can tell with the flight prefix: BD is Bmi, WW is Bmi Baby. It's a charter to Dalaman from Glasgow you're on sn't it? If so, Bmi Baby don't operate these, only Bmi mainline. Refer to our dedicated Bmi / Bmi Baby thread for more details. Seat pitch is a roomy 30" on these schedule configured aircraft (Airbus A320-200), about 2" more than your usual charter configured aircraft. You'll find my trip reports on page 3 of the Bmi thread with lots of aircraft information and photos.
