Only for groups, suprised a TA is offering it with what appears to be such high markups.

In the .pdf 20+ not including kids.

I thought it had to be for the complete cruise but it does say on a per day basis so should be possible to just get if for say sea days and not port days.

Note to Windjammer please.

A couple of weeks ago I mentioned a fantastic RCI Vision of Seas T'Atlantic deal, but one way airfare with RCI, or even Cheapestflights, was excessive. You responded by saying that Aer Lingus fly to JFK New York for about £200 and then from JFK to Santo Domingo for about $200.

I have managed to check out the Aer Lingus part and it is indeed just under £200. Can you advise who the JFK to Santo Domingo is with?

Thanks.

Just spoken to Cruise1st about the 13 night transatlantic on Independence of Seas. Including an overnight in Ft Lauderdale pre-cruise, flying out on 11th April the inside price is £649 from London, or £669 from Manchester (via JFK). Not sure if transfer at the Ft L end is included, either way fantastic deal for those who like lots of sea days! Ends at Southampton on 25th April.

Also considering Vision of Seas, sailing on 19th April for 14 night transatlantic, which is slightly more complicated flight wise if you want to avoid exorbitant £700ish one way flight from H'Row. With W/J's help I have found a route to Santo Domingo from my home airport at Glasgow, one way flight total is £340 and with the cheapest inside at £260 this pans out at £600. Incredible, and a couple less sea days than Independence.

We would go out on the 16th flying Aer Lingus from Glasgow, via Dublin to JFK at New York. Basic airport hotal there for around $100, fly on 17th direct to Santo Domingo and enjoy a couple of days there pre-cruise. Can get a hotel, 2 nights for around $200.
The problem I have is my wife prefers port days to sea days....but this is a no brainer, and she can't see it near as clearly as I can. You guys out there probably know I am still on a loser here. Tried to convince her, without success, a couple of weeks ago...but at that time the flight was gonna be £700

Good prices, I think our 13 TA Navigator 07 with Cruise1st was around £500-£550 but had to watch out for their hotel choice and one of there reps gets a bit angry(two of us had the same issue).

Voyager from Texas might throw up a deal yet as may Navigator and .

If you need more ports then splendor(flight will be more)

NCL Gem from New York is ok on price.

Have you look at Solo rates they are often very good on the TA's.
Saying you will go on you own may change her mind on not being keen on sea days.

Forgot to add, the cheap TA's are also a way to get a deal on a higher crade cabin, with all the sea days a suite can enhase a cruise a lot, We are sold on NCL courtyard villas(at the right price) sleep 4(2 bedrooms) and loads of space.

My note on the suites in the last post reminded me to post this.

One thing solo travelers could consider if they like to travel with a friend but still want seperate rooms.

NCL have two bedroom suites on a lot of their ships so there will be no single sups if you book two in the cabin and you get your private space.

These suites come with some of the best perks for the money in the industry.

This could be cheaper than the cabin of choice on other lines once the single sups are accounted for.

NCL £99 3-4 pax hit UK prices on NCL uk booking engine.

Checked for Jade Jan 3/15 2010 and the cruise fare is £99inc tax. 3+pax on that so may apply to other dates.

This is ALL grades including the villas

Anyone looking at NCL cruises should recheck pricing

Looks like a UK one day sale.

I am copying a post I made from another thread, and it was written in response to a specific question.

I am on cruise watch looking for something good and this company may be another 'port of call' .

OK, and before doing so I will edit in a comment made by me back in November before Tuppence or anyone else throws it back at me!!
We have used 8 different cruiselines, but neither Costa or MSC, and would be unlikely to book with them for the very reasons stated by mehmeh.

We have booked a 17 night transatlantic on the Costa Fortuna, leaving Fort Lauderdale on 15th March and ending in Savona, Italy on 1st April. The ports are the attraction for us, 4 or 5 Caribbean ports before heading from Barbados to Tenerife, Madeira and then Barcelona. By going into the Med, and not up to Southampton, Dover or Harwich then potentially weather is better all the way.

And now the real reason, we paid $608 for an inside guarantee which equates to about £425 for a 17 night cruise!! Cheapest available in UK was £650ish. We are flying with Flyglobespan, for £190 each, direct from Glasgow to Orlando Sanford 5 days (10th March) before cruising. We plan to hire a car and visit a couple of places on the Atlantic coast of Florida (have done the Disney, and everything else, thing in Florida twice before when our family were kids) and embark on the 15th. At the Europe end we will abort the cruise a day early in Barcelona as we can get a Flyglobespan flight direct to Glasgow only £50 each.

We get a 3 week holiday for an incredible price, and will happily on this occasion take Costa as we find it!
