Has anyone been to the Embudu Village, if so what is the island like are the rooms/food nice and also what is the diving/dive centre (Diverland) like? Any info much appreciated, thanks in advance. Colin.

If it's the same place, have dived a site called Embudu Canyon - WILD ride!!!!
Not come acrosss the dive outfit you mentioned - but on the whole haven't come across anything really terrible in multiple diving trips to the Maldives unlike various other places in the world.(Have walked away from some dive centres elsewhere even with 300+ logged dives just from looking at their kit and general set-up) . We tend to dive pretty much as a buddy pair and take 99.9% of the responsibility for ourselves and use our own kit these days however (the .1% is the odd peculiarities of where some dive guides/boat captain decide to drop you!) If you are looking for training you may need something more definitive than that so hopefully someone has some more specific experience
