We done this trip in reverse to what you want to do. We were staying in Ixia (Rhodes) and wanted to go over to Turkey to see
Turkish friends.

We travelled by hydrofoil from Rhodes to Marmaris and thoroughly enjoyed the crossing. When we arrived in Marmaris we had a choice of being bussed on a little tour which was included in the price or doing our own thing. The purpose of our visit was to see our friends so we just hailed a taxi. It was a few years ago but it didnt take long, maybe 1hr 15 mins. and cost somewhere in the region of £30 then (I think). We had to be at Rhodes port by 8am and I think we arrived back at about 6pmish.

From Icmeler you would need to go into the marina at Marmaris (its huge). It might be that you will be offered a pick up from your
accomodation to take you straight to the port. There are all sorts of deals available but its best to shop around.
