I haven't stayed in the hotel but I remember seeing it when I was in having a wander round China town during my enforced stay in the city last November. I always like to stay within walking distance of either the Skytrain or the MRT and this hotel isn't near either. But if you want the hustle and bustle of China town this would be a great location. If you want to visit shops and sites in other parts of the city you may have to rely on taxis for transportation though depending on where you are going you could walk down to the river for a river taxi.
The Hotel gets reasonably good reports on Trip Advisor.

Thanks Judith- have to say that I agree with you. I loved China Town but personally would not stay there as it would be too much of a bind to travel round Bangkok. I would say being near to the Skytrain or the MRT is the major factor for me when deciding upon a hotel.

Thanks for the replies and will be looking to stay nearer the Skytrain. What is the MRT and can you recommend any really nice hotels that will sleep 3 in the room (son 15) don't want a roll out bed for him

MRT...bangkok's underground.

For a bit of extra room you could consider a two bedroomed service apartment. Plenty to be found in Bangkok, many sited near Skytrain stations and quite often good value when compared to a hotel.
