Try here for their room information
Thanks, yes, I have already looked at their website, but it isn't clear what the advantage is of paying more for apparently lees space! So I hoped someone who has been could advise. Also it doesn't mention the perks of VIP at all, as far as I can see, but reviews mention them.
I know not to take towels , but my next 'heavy' items are books.
An avid reader , normally smuggle half a dozen into the case.
Has anyone spotted a 'library ' at the hotel .
Have in the past dumped ( donated ) my collections at the various hotels in the past.
Merged with existing topic. Dazbo HT Mod
We went the Barut Lara last April and are going back this April. Its a fantastic hotel.
There were 5 of us in two normal rooms, plenty of space, couldn't ask for more. People
who had upgraded to junior suites got crisps and chocolates every day plus use of a help yourself bar
which had every drink you can think of.
If I were you I would take the cheaper option, you wont be disappointed !!
markers is replying to Mehmeh, which is good !
But advice might be a little late as question was posted last March.
Ps my question is still unanswered ... after ten minuets
sorry wallbash, wife got involved, yes there is a "library" at Barut Lara
I had kids ... same idea
But great news . I can now cut down the number I take, and by early August
their library will be a bit bigger.
It is not so much a library has a couple of shelves with books, but you should find enough to keep you going! We find it best to look on a change over day because people usually leave magazines and any books they have finished with!
We will be there in less than 8 weeks and I will be sure to let you know what changes were made during the renovation!
I did wonder why people were answering an old thread from last year!!
What date are you going to the Barut Lara?? We are going at Easter for our 4th time! We have been twice in April before but went to Belek last year! Already booked for Easter 2011 to!! We are having a Junior Suite next year again! Just the standard this year but still beautiful rooms!
7 weeks and 5 days and counting!!
It is not so much a library has a couple of shelves with books
Thats what I really imagined . Just a few very easy reading books
( slightly stained with sun cream!)
Ps on the same subject ... How easy to buy an English newspaper??
I did say in other postings , my ideal holiday, sitting in the shade, reading.
Cold drink nearby is also nice
No you might be surprised, some intelligent guests go to the Barut Lara!!!!! After all they picked such a good hotel in the first place!
There was quite alot of choice when we have been, and that was not even high season, so when you go there no doubt there will be far more!
If you sit reading at the pool bar under a canopy now that could be lethal, because your drinks will be topped up automatically !! by the nice waiters!!
Sorry I forgot to answer about the English papers!
You get the papers at the newsagents in the hotel! They are expensive like usual expect on holiday!
Did I tell you that there are 6 free to use computers just off reception ? You can always catch up with the news headlines on-line!
Will sell one of the kids to fund the Sunday ( Monday ) papers.
Yes I know its sad ..... but hey! I'm on holiday
( and the holiday was paid for 6 weeks ago )
Again many thanks violet123 , will report back , mid August
We will be back at the Barut Lara, maybe next year. Kids will visit and meet up with Bonus, Sasha, Blondie, Arzu, Backit, Zaza, Elena, Berker, etc, etc.
Fantastic hotel Barut Lara, as you know, hope we dont regret having a change
Markers
Markers - think you will love the Concorde, it's a FAB 5* luxury AI hotel.
We had read that it was difficult to get a table at mealtimes and also to get served with drinks occssionally
Any views mate?
I think Za za was supposed to be going back to Georgia to study last I heard, but then I saw a photo of him over xmas on TA ? He is a genuine guy and our favourite!! Always nice to everyone! I think Bonus is part of the fixtures and fittings !!
Not met blondie but the others were all there last time we went at Xmas/New year 2008/9!
You will have to have a tour of the Barut laral to see the changes! it used to be at 5pm !
Hope the Concorde lives up to expectation!! I have had a tour of it but have not actually stayed there!
wallbash we read that you got a daily paper in the Junior Suites and the first time we stayed in one we did, but it was a Turkish daily but in English!!
Junior Suite. Now I have seen that the J.S. are not in the Main building , but the
garden Building ?? have I booked a garden shed
Cant really see a lot of difference between JS and a standard room.
but it was a Turkish daily but in English!!
Will I still manage the crossword.
Oh well you are the lucky one then!! You will have loads of extras included ! The rooms are bigger than the standard hotel rooms and you have a separate lounge area! You will have the Turkish daily delivered every day except Sunday!!Daily fruit basket, nibbles and wine and minitures in the fridge!! You have an executive lounge for Junior Suite guests with self service bar! Special guest service lady who will book your Al a cartes so no queuing for you!! You can loan films and cds for free!
Your wife can have a free facial!! 24 hour room service is included to! So you can have your breakfast on your balcony if you wish!!
Nicest garden shed your likely to see !!!
You can see why your not paying £8 a night!!!
The rooms are in a good location !! : tup
