In Ruffles in Candolim there is a singer on a Tuesday and Thursday and the Horizon bar next door has someentertainment on most nights
The Jazz Club has some fantastic entertainment on a Tuesday night however you need to get there early. Finally Havali on the main road usually has some singers on most evening
All are in Candolim

I understand Molly Malones has entertainment on however not sure what night and that is in Calangute

There was a really good French singer but I would tend to disagree with the 'pro' remark. I went a few times in November and the quality of the singers were abysmal. The choice of 'covers' were terrible. There was a girl singing 'Scottish' songs, I was embarrassed being Scottish, pure crap. In general music isn't of a high standard in Goa and most of the UK singers/acts wouldn't get a gig back home.

There is a great guitarist from South Goa 'Jesus' is his name I think, plays very good electric sitar also. Most of the better music is actually down South. I'm always in search of music in Goa, Ingo market was usually the best bet as their seems to be a bit of quality control.

The french singer sings at Myoma on Tuesday and at Molly Malones on Wednesday nights.

yep, i understand that sometimes the qualityb of the singing can be a bit off. :que myonnas depend on the artist that are performing in and around goa, to come to their restraunt, and perform for nothing. :tup
so, yes sometimes not as good as others. :cry

I went to myonnas last year and had a really good night. I tend to find that it is not so much the quality of the act as the quantity of kingfisher that determines your memory of how good the music sounded. So I am probably not the best judge. I think I remember reading somewhere that there was a blues bar/performance in Candolim does anyone know of it? I will visit Molly Malones this year which I understand can also offer an entertaining evening. I hope to feel fit enough to get down there on St Patricks night but only arrive that day so will have to see how the journey goes.

Try and make it on St Patricks night, there should be a good gang of HTers there. Had a great night last year except for the heat!
Should be good fun again

Roverdave The Blues bar in Cadolim is is on the main road Candolim to Calangute before the beach road turning. On a Tuesday night they alway have live entertainment and "Jam" session for musicians to join in. Whilst there in Feb both Tuesdays has standing room only. Don't know what the food is like.

Sweet Chilly have cancelled the Wednesday carnival night due to a shortage of guests -What a shame as it was the best night and guaranteed a good night if a few of you went to together - food wasn't good but that wasn't the reason most people went there -Must be a sign of the times

Taffy could you tell me the name of the blues bar please and is it on the beach side of the road .....colleen

Re Haveli, music most nights, some of it karaoke but the peple who do the karaoke do most of the singing so not too bad.
saturday there is a guy who plays the flute and guitar and sings who is not bad.
Nellie who was singing there last year is at the Jazz corner on a friday, but you may need to book as it gets full.
Must have a different cook at haveli as the food is good this year.

Noel, will try to get to Molly Malones St Patricks night, will be interesting to put faces to all the names I have been reading for some time now. Thing is, how would I know a HTer from any one else in the bar?

Chilly, does the Jazz corner,as the name implies, only play Jazz music?
