Hi,
Thinking of going to Benidorm in May for 5 days with hubby and son aged 15. Would like to stay somewhere central, near beach, restaurants etc and with a nice swimming pool. Anyone got any suggestions?

You'll certainly use the local restaurants with the food at that place, the pool is lovely though, If you have watched the TV show Benidorm, then that is the pool they use.
We didn't have a problem with the food at this hotel, it was always fine. They have a nice Italian corner on everyday too with pizza and pasta, always something for everyone.
They even cook eggs and omelettes to order on a morning.

too be honest i hated the food at the Pelicanos/Ocas , but i agree the pool and hotel are lovely ...ps the orcas was shut last week.
Breakfast was fine though may I add, apart from one very slow man was cooking the eggs. You also que in one long que like the dinner line at school, not like the Rio park were you walk all the way around the food.
Have a look on benidorm-apartments site. I booked 2 bedroom front line aprtment with them 2 yeras a go, (veracruz) very good service and cheap. then get on sky scanner and find the cheapest flights. easy.
