I have been trawling through brochures on Cyprus never having visited before and I am as confused as ever, help! (please). My husband and I are looking for a good quality beach side hotel, in a flat resort (I have some mobility problems) within easy walking distance of restaurants; nice bars; perhaps a harbour or promenade, but no where near noisy discos.
The bonus of entertainment in the hotel in the evening and not having to rush out at 6am to book a sunbed before they all disappear!
Any info would be appreciated. Thank you.
http://www.holidaytruths.co.uk/viewtopic.php?f=11&t=132585 even the request for a non too hilly resort. Hope it helps.
Don't discount Ayia Napa from your search though, it's a very large resort with some fabulous restuarants and you don't even have to encounter any "discos" if you don't want to as they're all in one area. Ayia Napa is very mobility friendly being a predominantly flat resort with easy access to the beach and harbour area.
Hi, a very similar thread was stared only last week here - Don't discount Ayia Napa from your search though, it's a very large resort with some fabulous restuarants and you don't even have to encounter any "discos" if you don't want to as they're all in one area. Pancake flat.
Marina.
Promenade.
The only problem is the beach-side hotels are mostly in the Dhekelia Road tourist area, out of town.
Will you be having a car?
The flattest resort in the whole of Cyprus is Larnaca.
For the closest to the airport, look at Finikoudes (Phoinoikoudes) - palm tree lined beachfront. Lots of cafe bars along the seafront too, although not too sure about entertainment in the hotels there. You are within a few minutes walk of the main shopping street and St Lazarus church.
Dhekelia road is out of town but can be accessed by bus, if that's manageable for you?

Thank you! I shall look at some of the Larnaca Hotels.
