After previously visiting Sri Lanka and Goa we're keen to venture a bit further East and have been looking through the Travelbag brouchure at the countries on offer (won't necessarily book through them) and have a problem....they are sound facinating and we can't choose! Chances are our finances will only allow us to visit 2 countries max and due to work we're looking at a fortnight sometime during March 2010 so I don't know if some places are better/worse at that time of year, we like the idea of one week of culture/sights followed by a week of relaxation on a beach.

Must admit Cambodia, Malaysia and Laos stood out for me and hubby liked the idea of the less seedy/touristy parts of Thailand and also Borneo so we're struggling to narrow it down. After this holiday we're planning on starting a family so this type of travelling will probably be out of the window for a few years after that so don't want to regret not visiting somewhere - we finally went to Goa last year after wanting to for years and really wished we'd done it earlier before it got so commercialised and touristy.

If anyone can make any recommendations or un-recommendations (sorry that's not even a word but you know what I mean) I'd be very grateful for your opinions
