Would consider getting train from airport.It will get you to Fuengirola in 1/2 hour.Fare will cost only a few euros. http://www.renfe.es/cercanias/malaga/index_horarios.html for fares/times.
Dont know exactly price but its probably over 30 euros per taxi probably closer to 40.
Going by exchange price I was getting a month ago its unlikly you would get much more than the UK rate maybe 1-1.5 more.
Cant help on the apartments.
Im sure there are plenty of places doing a pint of local for 1euro to 1.50, 2for1,other places with entertainment 2.50+

DGR... Hi there, i am going on Weds 22nd April for 4 nights along with 5 friends, so you never know, might bump into you if its as dead as people say. We always get the train, they run very frequently and its so easy, and so cheap. You would be mad to get a taxi.

As for the exchange rate i don't know, and i don't care, its a 4 night holiday and we intend to just have fun, i believe there is some kind of price war going on and there are always going to be cheaper bars than others.

People worry so much about prices but my mate has just come back from Dublin and it was 8 euros for 2 halves of lager, how bad is that???

Where are you flying from?

We have sorted a minibus out now its only cost 180 euros return between 13 of us so i cant knock that.

A couple of my mates were out there when England played in Feb and they said it was around a euro a bottle so we will be well happy with that
