] flying Monarch isnt half as bad as its made out to be if you book extra leg room. Flights on time, reasonable meals, nice crew and lots of lovely duty free at Bahrain

] If you find really nice accomodation, private apartment etc, shhh!!!, after whittering on about how lovely 'our'place was, now find it is full for next season

] Indian friends can still be your friends, hey ho they may be trying for a few quid but they still welcome you with open arms and are sad to see you go without a rupee changing hands. Not all are only after what they can get, there are genuine people who welcome you each year with a smile
] Things change, I keep on harping back to the Candolim I knew and loved 15 years ago, despite all the new 'posh' shops, karioke, sports tv bars etc, a few minutes away is still the 'old' place I loved and still do
] Newtons - for all its faults, its great to be able to go there first day of holiday and stock up on whatever you need. This year within half an hour of arriving we had got kettle, pillows, can opener, cutlery etc . Before Newtons we would have been trawling around Calangute shops.
Oh well thats my 5 anyone else
