Hi
Off to Calahonda in a few weeks - 6 adults and 2 young children. Can anyone advise good places to go/see, restaurants, parks/playplaces for the children etc? Also - a good Irish bar or bars with acts/singers?? and we also need a big supermarket...is there one? Thanks
Fuengirola Zoo is nice also the water park and there is a park in Benalmadena that is free, it as lots of small animals , different birds rabbits chickens ,walking round free, if you like that sort of thing for the children. There are goats in a pen and a small cafe and lovely lake and gardens.
Benalmadena harbour is nice but a little expensive I find.
Cabopino beach is a favourite with its lovely beach and harbour. Lots of places to eat .
Mijas Pueblo in the hills behind Fuengirola is a lovely village to visit for the day.
La Cala is also a really lovely place.
Mijas races, horse racing and entertainment.
Across the foot bridge there is a bar with a shaded children's play area.
Where they have bikes and peddle cars etc for the little ones while you have a drink.
All the places are very near to Calahonda and can be gotten to some on foot or by bus or taxi.
There are so many more places to suit every age and every taste.
Have a great time.
We will be there in June.
Thank You
