The waterpark is Faliraki Sooze so if you're heading there you'll need to get the bus or a taxi to Rhodes Town after.
Just check reviews before you book as some of the cheaper hotels in town can be a bit grubby - not all though, i'm a big fan of Al's and The Alexia. Which hotel are you thinking of booking?
Don't know if there's any real tips to share, it all comes down to personal interest. I tend to head into the Old Town at night for the atmosphere and a lovely meal at Romeo's Garden, then i'll walk up to Orfandinou Street (Bar St) with a stop at The Blue Lagoon and Boudoir Bar en route, to party the night away :cheers. I guess a major tip in Rhodes Town is to check the prices before you stop for a drink or something to eat in the Old Town or Mandraki Harbour, there is the odd tourist trap with silly prices about.
That's really helpful thanks. I can't remember the name of the hotel and for some reason Alpharooms is down at the moment but will look into it. I'm not too concerned because we too will probably be out late at night and it will just be a crash pad!
