hi bouncyblonde
i would normally allow £100 a day for 2 adults +2 kids in europe but have been doing all inclusives in carribean lately. we've got a villa booked in paphos in may for 9 days and as the euros only at 1.05 i'll take a grand and take it from there.i suppose it depends if your doing trips etc but as your half board £100 a day should be ok.happy holidays. dan

Waterpark - check out things like the taxi's as they often can give you a discount card for a few €'s !

As for money... ?.. Well a lot depends on how you plan to feed and drink etc !

I've just come back from Pernera (near Protaras, opposite end of island from Pafos) and at the beginning of April it was out of season and not everything was open so you were stuck as to where you could eat and drink.

Baring that in mind here are some of the prices of things (yes I spend half of my time taking pictures of food, menu's, receipts and billboard !... might be mad but it helps with things like this )

prices in Pernera April 2009

We spent around £500 in 5 days for 2 of us ! No trips, no taxi's just eating out for every meal and quite a bit of drinking !....When everything is open you can shop around more and get better prices etc..

We normally say £100 a day for the 2 of us (2 adults) we get a taxi from/to the airport and then the rest on food, drinks, although we did bring some back last year, sure we won't be bringing anything back this year.
We always seem to go a bit mad the first week then we settle down a bit, last year only tended to have drinks at the hotel (Capo Bay) early evening when it was happy hour! don't knoe if they will still have one this year, will need to get their money back for all the refurbishing..........

We've just had a week in Paphos staying half board. We spent £400 for 2 people over the week for lunches e.g meze or fish with salad, chips etc, drinks and petrol for our hire car. Last year it was about £300, so the increase is due to the exchange rate. We got 1.12 with the Nationwide card last Saturday so maybe things are looking up! Average price for lunch for 2 was 30 -35 euros for a proper meal with a drink, although we didn't eat anywhere near the harbour which might have cost more.
