Hiya, just wondered if anyone knows of various ways of getting from Manchester to Rome?
For example, I've looked at Manchester Airport to Nice. Then the train from Nice to Rome.
Willing to travel from Manchester, Liverpool, Leeds Bradford, Blackpool airports.
Not too fussed which other countries I take in to get to Rome.
And yes this is for going to watch the Champions League Final in Rome, irrelevant of which sides get to the final.
So price is the main deciding point for which method of travel I use.
If anyone can help out, then it'd be greatly appreciated
You can remove Blackpool from the equation unless you want to fly Aer Arann to Dublin and onwards to Rome with Ryanair. I would imagine flights are at a premium for the champions league dates and IF Man U get through, there'll be plenty of charters (it's the only reason I'd want them to get through and the airport is busy with unusual visitors!). You could try Jet2 from Manchester but Ryanair are probably your best bet. If you don't mind the cost, Lufthansa have a few options and so do Air France / KLM.
