The path is virtually finished !
They were just putting wiring for lighting and adding some drinking fountains !
The path is nicely finished concrete and wooden boarding with some very fine looking stainless steel railings to stop you falling off....

Yes I did take some pictures but someone had posted some somewhere while I was still away...(might have been another board I go on...)

You can walk to Protaras and it comes out where the Nissiotis (spelling ?) is near the beach, if you walk up that road you come out near where McDonalds is...

I've got to go and send some other photos but if I get chance I'll add some ...!

(it looks great ! you have plenty of space, seating, shelter, lighting was still being wired up, and the drinking fountains where just being fastened down...)

Thank you for adding the photo's they are really good - I thought you may have taken a few!

I think they have made a wonderful job of it, we have walked along the old path so many times it will be a luxury not having to watch every step in places! I love all the seating area's and the bridge!

We go to Zafiro's for lunch all the time it's my favourite place, I expect it will be more popular in the evenings as well now.

Thanks again Steve only 6 more weeks and I can see it for myself :)

I've been going to Cyprus since 2004 and when new things appear I like to keep a log of it... lol

Great to see these photos of new path. we were there last october and saw the work going on as we were regulars at safiros too! We must of gone right through his menu! He was about 3 to 4 euros cheaper per meal then most of the other eateries. Also he did those large bottles of Leon or Keo for 2 euros :cheers .

Fab photos, thanks for posting these :tup I just booked yesterday for 2 weeks at the Pernera Beach Hotel and looking at the photos, looks like we made a good choice. I guess the restaurants/bars and en-route along the walkway, is that right? We do need to stop for refreshments now and again :)

Safiros is near the Pernera end of the path right at the side of it... others are only a short walk off the beach into the streets....

Great pics,

Is there any resturants just of the path?

there are places like The Blue Spice which you can see from the path, but its not on the beach, its on the road behind...

*edit

I reckon about 15-20 mins now that the new pathway is in. Come out of Crown Resorts, turn left and down to the bottom of the hill. Turn right onto the path and keep going until Protaras.

does the bus from protaras stop anywhere near crown resorts

It stops outside Windmills which is next door

is there a good choice of tavernas and bars in perena

Indeed there is :)
