I have been reading through some hotel reviews recently and I noticed that on a few of them they say people reserve sunbeds by putting towels on them the night before! I haven't personally come across this but I was wondering if you go to the pool and find all the sunbeds have towels on and you have nowhere to site, what do you do? Or does anyone here reserve sunbeds themselves?
I think if I couldn't find a sunbed and there were loads of them with towels on I would be tempted to move them
I go to more small and friendly places so haven't encountered this as an issue.
I think there are probably threads about it in General, in fact I'm sure I remember one that got quite heated on the issue of reserving beds.
We always come down late and it really annoys us to see so many empty sunbeds with towels on them, and some stay like that all day with towel owners turning up later afternoon. I have stayed in 2 hotels what had a strict no reserving sunbed rule and staff went around removing towels, nobody reserved a sunbeds and midday there were sunbeds available. If all hotels done this it would be fair to all guests. I don't see how anybody can get up 5am or 6am on holiday to put towels on sunbeds or do the made sunbed rush at 9am, very funny to watch, I think all who join in must be totally bonkers. I am on holiday want to relax and not get stressed if I can get a sunbed or not.
