Hi yes they are taking ear temps. Hubby and son arrived last Thurs eve and it didnt hold them up. They landed at 19.20 and were still in the apartment drinking a cold beer by 20.00!! They are just taking precautions. They are slaughtering all the pigs which is to me senseless. On leaving last Sunday some staff, not all, at Sharm airport were wearing masks and gloves. They were hit hard with the bird flu and like most taking precautions but please dont worry. As far as Im aware they havent had a single case of it and dont think it is passed via animal like bird flu but human to human. On plane we were told to cough, sneeze in paper tissue, put in bag ang then wash hands like other countries.

..meant to have said that a Brit had a high temp when she landed in Hurgh and they took her straight to the hospital for tests - pre cautions - she was fine and they released her to carry on with her holiday.

Yes we had our temperatures taken at Sharm with an ear thermometer. It was no big deal, I had a slight temperature due to a mild infection and they didn't notice!
