Off to Settle in the Yorkshire Dales on Saturday the 16th May - weather not looking too good!!!
Oh well that's the chance you take when holidaying in the UK. Beautiful scenery but weather a bit unpredictable.
I'm sure we will enjoy ourselves anyway - have what looks like a lovely cottage (barn conversion) with heating and woodburner!

We just returned from spending three days in the Dales, the weather there was pretty good, lots of sunshine though there was a cold wind on two of the days. We did a five mile and a seven mile walk and lots of sightseeing. The scenery is gorgeous, very impressive. We are hoping to return later on this year, it's a great destination for an active holiday.
We had a few days in Wensleydale a few years ago, stayed in a village called Redmire, B&B at the village post office, next door to the pub, lovely area.
The cottage in Stainforth near Settle was absolutely lovely - the 4 star grading well deserved - VERY warm and extremely well equippped. Lovely quiet village - one pub and that is it. Very good supermarket (Booths) in Settle just 2 miles down the road - stocks a lot of local produce.
This is a fabulous area - stunning scenery which seems to go on for miles and miles.
Will certainly return at some point in the future.
