Thanks Ian and beermat for your advice i really do want to go and enjoy myself it's just this holiday will be my 1st one abroad alone with my kids and no other adult with me that i know and feel safe with so yes i do feel a little bit scared of it all but i will take on board all the advice that i have been given on this forum from this page and all other pages on here and i will try and enjoy myself for the sake of my girls. The 1st holiday i had abroad was in 2007 with a friend and her daughter so i did not feel as unsafe as i do this time but i really want to try this alone this time so i can do it more often by myself with the girls. So again thank you all for your kind thoughts and help on here i will come back on here after i have been next month and let you all know that you's were all right and i was wrong to worry as much as i have done so far

hi sharonc you never know, even at the airport, there might be the chance that someone you know is going same time,same place. it happened to us. well, we didn't know them to start with the wife worked in our local bank, and we ended up buddies. so......hope you enjoy yourself,i'm sure you will

i haev been away as a single parent adn i went into the pool all the time - left the key at reception and used to take drinks and fruit wiht us and maybe a few euros not more than 10 in case they want an ice cream and i might want a coffee etc

so all they could take would eb the bag wiht our towels and sun cream

but i haev left my bag on the bach and to be honest its alwasy been there when we got back - if you do haev a camera and ipod keep them on your sun lounger wrapped in your clothing and then towells on top and i am sure they will be fine

when you get there you will see that thats just what poeple do and they manage to get in the pool or the sea ot haev a swim

i am sure you will have a great time

Thanks darkmild61 for that last message i hope i do have a great time just 23 days to go now getting a bit nervous now that i have been and picked up my airline tickets today it has just hit me that it is not long now befor i go on my 1st holiday alone with my girls been before but with another family with us . and when i got the tickets i found out we have slightly later times on leaving and coming home with flight times really glad to find that out now we have an extra hour at either end now
