We arrived home late on Tuesday night after a great holiday in Palma Nova staying at the Santa Lucia Hotel.
The weather was lovely and the hotel lived up to expectations as on previous visits, although some people criticised the food, I always found plenty I liked. We found that the young barman,Miguel, we met 17 years ago had been promoted to Bar Manager.We met up with Snowey and his wife and had several chats.
We both like walking and went into Magaluf quite a few times and also to Portals Nous and to Cala Vynas. We also enjoyed bus trips into Palma and also to Santa Ponsa.
Our favourite bar is the Three Brothers,opposite the Santa Lucia, and we also enjoyed trying some other Spanish ones we had never been to previously,which had been recommended to me. We did find the bar prices were expensive due to the poor exchange rate. On average a pint of local beer was 2.20 to 3.50euros and a Spirit & mixer about 4euros.
