My first trip to Turkey was Kusadasi about 20 years ago.We hated the place but it didnt stop us going back the following year to Marmaris.
We loved it and yes it has changed but so have we as we now prefer smaller resorts such as Icmeler.
I would say to the OP,book it for next year but do your research on here before you book your hotel.
