ive never had a bad holiday, the only thing that happened was corfu a few years ago, we went out on a late flight (never again) a few drunks on the plane, no wonder with what they drank, wouldnt sit down while coming in to land, then after landing about 4.30am geting on a coach to sidari, up the mountain windy roads, i was on the edge of my seat, tired because id been up all night, it was like a white knuckle ride ive not been there since but it wouldnt put me off either, the only thing is i would go for a much earlier flight time

Like a lot of you I have been very lucky - the second holiday we ever had abroad was the worst - Benidorm (the Regente if I remember correctly)........quite a few years ago.

I got a severe bout of stomach flu, as did the rest of the family and we only had two "good" days out of our week.

Apart from that we have been very lucky!

I have never had a bad holiday either. I have had a few difficulties getting home a couple of times though. Once I got stranded on the Greek Island of Andros, we had to get a ferry over to the mainland and fly home from Athens but the day we were due to leave there was a huge storm and the sea was too rough for the ferry to pull in so it went away agin. We had to stay on the island for another 2 days before it was calm enough to sail the sit at Athens airport to wait for a flight home.

Another time I was in Izmir, Turkey and it snowed so much that I couldn't get my flight to Istanbul and so I also missed my connecting flight home. I stayed in Izmir overnight and flew to Istanbul the next day and checked in for a flight home only to find that they had overbooked somehow and wouldn't let us on the plane so it went without us - with our luggage on board

Luckily I had a travel bag with my toothbrush and my contact lens stuff in or I would have been in trouble! We had to stay overnight in Istanbul then go back to the airport again in the morning and evenytually go on our way home at 4pm. I was travelling alone too so it really was a complete nightmare.
