Here's hoping someone can help.

Looking at booking a holiday to Cyprus - Not sure where though.

Date of travel early / mid August 2009

Have a party of 2 adults and child (12 years old).

The child is wheelchair bound - but can swim.

We are used to going to Spain - resorts include Benidorm,Salou, Benalmedena, Palma Nova & Santa Ponsa.

We are looking for a similar type of resort - If that sounds right!

Generally, a touch of English for comfort and the rest the host country - if you know what I mean.

What is key is to have a beach that is wheelchair accessible - this is usually done by wooden beams / ramp, so we can get the child into the sea.

Also the hotel needs to be as accessible as possible - eg as few steps as possible.

We usually stay in 3 star hotels as we generally find these have a disabled toilet and / or facilities that we require.

We usually go half board and would be reluctant to go self catering - have not got all inclusive but would definitely consider it.

I am also unsure of where to stay in Cyprus - we like to have a day on the beach or in the pool and then at night have a wander and have say 1 or 2 drinks out and then crash out, subject to light entertainment that we may encounter.

So nothing too lively but nothing dead either.
