don't know the hotel you have booked.
calis is fairly small but has most of the things you are likely to want, also very close to fethiye and Hisaronu and olu denis.
its flat, so walking is not a problem .
good dolmus sevice and water taxi to fethiye.
Lots of brits live there, so not much "turkish" feel to the place nowadays.
some stunning sunsets from the beach.
we have had a few really good holidays there, but have now moved on for a change etc.

Hi we too are thinking of booking this hotel. Have found the hotel's own website and it looks fab. Who has everyone booked with and did you get a bargain?

Can't wait to read the first reviews.

Hi Guys,

Thank you all very much for your replies, the website was a great help and has now put our minds at rest.
We did a last minute hol with Monster Travel (0808 201 0280) and got what we thought is a good price £1600 for 4 of us for 2 weeks and my in laws have just booked for a week for £790. We dealt with Casper who was really helpfull.
Cant wait to go now roll on Thursday!!! (and might even get a night on our own now the in laws are coming for the 2nd week!!)
I will make sure that we review the Hotel when we get back.
Thanks again for all your input.

Hi Jay,

I assume now, you're just about back from your vacation...?

I'm very interested in your experience at the Orient Resort Hotel in Calis.

I just booked from here in Berlin, where I live, for myself and my daughter for 2 weeks there.

I did so spontaneously through a travel agent and the travel organization, Öger Tours. I did absolutely no research beforehand -- just took a chance. (I realize now I could've saved considerable money booking online, and with half pension, rather as we have with full pension.)

So if you or anyone esle has anything to say about the hotel, Fetiye or the area around, this would be much appreciated.

Perhaps some suggestions on places to go (my daughter, by the way, is 9 years). And, do you think a car in necessary or do public transport and occaisional taxis do the trick?

Many thanks,

Peter
