I've always found the standard of a decent A/I in turkey is more superior to that of other european destinations.

choose carefully and read reviews throughly. Turkish food in general is excellent and they are great cooks .

Most will offer plain BBQed grilled meat or fish .Mostly chicken/turkey as being a muslim country they dont use Pork . So no bacon or sausage as we know it although they do offer frankfurter type sausages at breakfast .

And as a minimum There is always a good selection of salads , rice dishes , pasta and lots of bread including pita bread often with cheese or garlic filings, potatoes often cooked in slices . Sometimes you have to hunt for chips.
This is before you have reached the puddings ;-)

At the belcekiz beach hotel the food was of an excellent standard with lots of choice of dishes . There was always a BBQ station and also a different theme each night as extra . almongst others They offered an English roast dinner night or their curry night that was yum .They also did an excellent doner a couple of evenings a week .

I honestly dont think he would go hungry . My hubby is a fuss pot too . Doesnt normally go near anything to do with a sauce or pasta but he always manages fine.

You don't normally get things like burgers at the buffet restaurants but they are normally available from snack bars during the day with chips etc .

The hotels along the Antalya coast are often considered of high quality . we are going to the Hemera in side this year which get's good reviews.

My DD was 13 when we stayed at the Belcekic Beach club in Olu Deniz and enjoyed it there. The food is excellent for an AI buffet, but I wouldn't say it was particularly English orientated.

I think if you want a freshly cooked fryup you might need to go into the little town although they had an egg chef of a morning. I liked the stir fry cooking station that they had of a night where you could choose your own ingrediants, noodles etc and the freshly barbied meat was nice too. They had a huge salad bar with both plainish salads and all the mixed salads and charcuterie type meats every evening so maybe he could manage with that if the lot choices dont take his fancy. They did have a lot of meat in sauces and fich in sauces style food as well.

The great thing about the BB is its location as you can walk into the little town (easy access to burgers :rofl ) and on to the main beach if you fancy a change from the pool.

Another one you might want to check is the Olu Deniz Resort Hotel as that is next door and also gets good reports. it seems to come up a bit cheaper than the BB. Also the BB tends to sell out in the peak weeks so its good to have an alternative.

Both of these hotels are with Thomson/Portland
