Trying to help family find a holiday for mum and dad and 11 year old they want to go to a part of greece that is full of history/sightseeing child has learned all about ancient greece
Someone told them athens would be great what do members think
They are looking for hotel /apartments that is small and friendly with a nice pool and near the beach if poss somewhere that is near everything they are not drinkers so not bother about near bars but somewhere with nice eating places etc
any help on if athens is where they should be thinking about and any advice on apartments/hotels near to sigths etc
thank you
Athena would be nice , but equally [and probably cheaper] Crete [around the Irakilon area] has more than enough history for a weeks holiday, likewise many of the smaller islands are raked with historic sites
Thank you been looking at crete is looks lovely but i cannot find anything on lrakilon ?
here you will find some info on Irakilon you will note the village is Irakilon and the island Kriti [ Herakalon on crete in english]
