Having been to Turkey a few times to both big & small resorts, I'm looking to try something new & would like some suggestions please
i like Olu Deniz & love Akyaka but wouldn't want anything smaller than this.
A decent beach safe for small children, a few restaurants/bars & a chance to see the real Turkey.
So far I've been looking at Cesme area, Foca (eski or yeni) or Cirali.
Wondered if Cesme would be too big & didn't know if the surrounding areas would fit in with the real Turkey idea. Also would Cirali be too small? Can't really find much info on any of these resorts to be honest
Any opinions on the above or any other suggestions please?
Datca is where you will find the real Turkey, And a great deserted beach with a few Restauraunt bars, Not very many Tourist's visit here. And you will find great information on it also.
Unfortunately we can only fly to Izmir or Antalya (long story) so it's out of the question for now.
Would definately like to visit in future though
ive been to olu deniz , akyaka loads and cesme. cesme isnt as scenic as the other 2 resorts, its about the same size as olu deniz so therefore bigger than akyaka but not that big. it attracts a lot of rich turkish people, the town is compact and theres a small castle near the harbour, its quite nice , but i love akyaka and i think you would like it but not love it , if you know what i mean
any thoughts on foca good or bad?
have a look through my photos;

also if you read this article "Turkey's hidden treasures"
and I quote ;
"You don't have to go to the Black Sea to escape the package-tour hordes. There are still plenty of spots along the Aegean and Mediterranean coasts that have escaped the onslaught of concrete, such as the tiny beachside villages of Adrasan and Çirali, either side of the ruined Roman city of Olympos, about 1 hours' drive west of Antalya.
Inch-for-inch, the stretch of coast between Adrasan and Olympos must be one of the most beautiful in the Mediterranean, with hidden bays and unbelievable water clarity."
