Hi

We are thinking of staying at the Atlantica Princess Hotel in Ixia but are having trouble with
choosing the room type.
There will be just my wife and myself and we would prefer a room with a view.

That said, I can emember reading somewhere in a review NOT to pay the extra for a sea view.
This was because the location of the hotel is next to 'barren/waste' ground prior to the beach/sea
and it isn't that much to look at.
The preferred view is that over the pool area.

This is where the problem begins...
I cannot find any reference to any twin/double rooms with a pool view in the brochures.

There are references to inland views, garden views and sea views, but none over the pool area.

What does not help is the fact of there being 'other' family and/or twin rooms in annex buildings across the street and away from the main hotel and these too are available with 'garden' views.

Really, we would prefer to stay in the main hotel building in one of the 'upper' floors with some sort of
view of the pool area, but how can we be certain we are not going to end up in a room in one of the
annex buildings across the road????

The travel agent cannot really help as all they have is the same guide as ourselves. They say they
can email the hotel with our specific wishes approx two weeks from leaving for the holiday, but there are no guarantees.

I hope all that made sense and that someone out there knows which room to select to ensure
we get 'a room with a nice view' without paying the 'sea view' supplement (presuming that view is as stated - not very good)
