Thinking of going to marmaris in late sept. will be our first time in turkey. We normally book half board but a lot of the reviews I've read seem to suggest that the turkish hotels don't go in much for the english cooked breakfast . My husband considers brekkie the main meal of the day so we may ave to consider self-catering if this is the case. help please!
thanks
When in Turkey our Turkish hosts provide a Turkish Breakfast everywhere, You will practically fall over Restauraunts selling English breakfasts for between 5 and 7 Lira, Find a good one with British sausauges and bacon and stick with it, As if you dont you will get Greek or Turkish bacon and Greek Sausauge or Turkish sausauge which is more like our hot dog sausauges.
looks like it's self catering then, thanks anyway
Sunbody, In some restaurants in Marmaris if you eat your evening meal there the staff give you a free breakfast token to go back the follwing day, this includes full English, plus orange juice or Tea/Coffee.
Claire, To assist other's name them please.

Thanks everyone for your replies
I agree with Anthony, I usually go self catering but eat out, a good english brekkie and evening meal is all I have, I stay in Armutilin area and eat in new york resturant the food is delicious! The owner and his family eat there too, never had a dodgy tummy after eating there.
It's by the traffice lights/roundabout on the main Marmaris - Icmeler road almost opposite the Kalemci Hotel. Very friendly, excellent service and good food, the best we found in Marmaris.

Anfi bar/ restaurant opposite the amphitheatre gives you a token for free breakfast if you have evening meal there. Includes full english and fruit juice. Also just up the road from there is Flares bar. It is owned by a Scottish guy called David. He brings his own bacon and sausage over and makes some of the breakfast items himself. Full English or full Scottish for a couple of quid. Would recommend you try !!
We've been to the piccadilly and def recommend it, we had 2 sausages, 4 rashers crispy bacon, 2 thick slices black pudding, loads of mushrooms, 2 big fried tomatoes cut in halfs, fried bread, 2 fried eggs and a bowl of baked beans and chips on the side with a pile of fresh bread and butter, they allso gave us honey and jam with it with a pot of tea and glass of fresh orange juice. FAB! went there every morning and they always only charged us £1.50 each, for the 4 of us it was £6. couldn't believe how cheap it was but the owner (think its the owner or rhe manager) had the hots for me mates wife, and he was all so maybe we got a discount cos he just liked to drool over her. I recommend the place to everyone. we could never get over how cheap it was and why he charged us so little and the breakkies wwere massive and better than ive had over here!
